Style Muse: Rachel Bilson

I've loved Rachel Bilson ever since The O.C., but since the show ended she's become majorly fashionable. Her style is kind of Kate Moss laid-back cool, but not in the blatantly copying, overdone way that Sienna Miller does it.

I couldn't find any good pictures of her red carpet style, but it's usually an above the knee black cocktail dress in some interesting shape (and by some insanely cool designer, like Zac Posen), and she'll add color with her shoes (usually red).

This is adorable. I love the delicate Juicy sweater, and the fact that she can make Juicy look so...not Juicy. If that makes sense.

A little unsure about the Marc Jacobs shoes though... they're kind of a clunky version of the famous Chanels.

Love the look altogether though. She looks like a doll.











But I especially love the way she's wearing jeans right now. She's the only girl I've seen so far who actually makes high-waisted jeans look good. Mischa could learn a thing or two from her former costar.

The jeans are high-waisted but not too high and the wide leg balances the slender top.
















This is just completely perfect. The slightly rugged looking leather belt and heeled-boots, and the tucked in shirt and scarf, mixed with the status sunglasses and bag are just so perfect. I've also seen pictures where she tucks in a button down instead of a tee-shirt, for a more polished look.

I kind of tried this the other day for class, with a cardigan over a black tank-top, tucked into wide-leg jeans with my own leather belt. Problem was, the pants were hemmed slightly too short for heels so I had to wear the jeans cuffed with flats, making my legs look a little short. I hate having to get jeans tailored. They never get it right.

But anyway, I think her look is trendy but fresh and I absolutely love it.
